is it my algo or is everyone in the comments bashing somalis and using her expression as a vehicle/source of hate?

Half the people that complain about that love the attention and engagement.
That’s why a lot of Somali tiktok girls don’t mention they are Somali in their videos.
It’s more peaceful that way
Does she present herself as an individual online? I find this take rather interesting especially coming from people who overly identify with their ethnicity online. She made a storytime as a *somali* person. She presents herself as a spokesperson for somali people, she regularly uses somali hashtags etc. she goes out of her way to attract attention from that communityRegardless what she’ve done. Somalis gotta treats themselves as individuals not as group who shares the same mindset.
More people should do this, it is strange to use somali hashtags for posts that have nothing to do with somalis tbh, especially when doing something unconventional.. normal somalis will not interact with that content but trolls willThat’s why a lot of Somali tiktok girls don’t mention they are Somali in their videos.

I listened to her video and she makes some good points, and I’m sorry for what happened to her. What do you mean?
That's what caqli dameers like this girl don't understand. Does she actually think the ajnabis she is b1tching about our community to care about her problems? Just like FGM, they will simply throw all of what she says about us back to her face, laughing. But I was also surprised to see a lot of Anjanabis in the comments using what she said to generalise or even make downright xenophobic categorisations.

and she recieves criticisms from somalis on that basis.

She's a fool.You’re b
I don’t think FGM is very smart to bring up outside of Africa, this is a hill im willing to die on. None of these ”activists” will ever do the kind of work that is required to end this practise, in fact they will most likely never go back home. What’s wrong with addressing FGM in public as if that’s not known as global issue. I think it’s good she’s brining awareness about it and the danger it brought to Somalia. I do agree she should keep in Somali. it’s not really a problem. It’s not like Somalia is sealed from that controversy.
