Somali Man was gunned down on Monday in MInnesota, the somali community are calling for the FBI to investigate it as a hate crime.

This what happens when you make your presence known, is the athan a necessity ? You were ok without it being publicly broadcasted. This is the problem with some of the elders and the newcomers in America. They forget that they're not home anymore and avoid adapting to a new country

With all due respect to the deceased brother and his family, how do you know his case has anything to do with Somalis being visibile in that state? There will be an investigation done that will shed light on that in shaa Allah.

Why are you putting blame on Muslims for the actions of some gaalo? Muslims are simply living their lives and get attacked in unjustified ways. If someone gets triggered because someone else is practicing their faith, then they have an issue not the other way around. Some people can’t stand the fact Muslims practice their diin so much since majority of people have abandoned faith.

Nah bro too much hypocrisy lets keep it real, you cant ring church bells in a "islamic society" in somalia but the adaan should be played out loud in a majority christain country ?

The country that isn't islamic should force adaan to be played but the country that isn't christain shouldn't have church bells played?

Islamic shariah is different for many people. I don’t see any option for Somalia other than to follow a version for it but it would help if we could even define it.

Do you believe hudud should be practiced and be public? Do you believe we should be stoning people for extramarital affairs and have that in public?

That’s how you learn Islam genuinely, not by asking random internet users who you can’t verify their credentials or expertise on diin. Diin isn’t a matter in which our own opinions don’t come into play. I know it’s a lot less effort to write stuff online then show up to learn at a masjid. But, you have to do what you have to do since you didn’t learn it when you were younger. Apply yourself now and see how much it improves you in all aspects of your life.

What do you mean? Wasn’t there a whole ass cathedral in Xamar? I’m pretty sure in a Muslim society they’ll let you be able to do that and let Jews and Christians practice. In a sharia society they’ll be under protection.
