As a North America Somali, we get citizenship as soon as we are born. The minute you are born on Canadian or US Soil. I thought all of the 1st world countries were like this. I was not aware that you European Somalis(born in Europe) had to actually apply for that

I didn't get it as soon as I was born but the laws changed in 2000 so those that are born after 2000 get it automatically
