I lived in Aden when I was a kid , our yemeni neighbors used to eat fish and chicken almost daily , they'll only eat meat on fridays , Eids and on special occasions .
on the other hand us Somalis ( all reer waqooyi ) like a typical geeljire we used to eat hilib like 5 to 6 days a week .
I used to go the the hilib market with my uncle sometimes and the majority of the butcher's customers were always Somalis
