Somalis don’t value the resources of sea.

With the long ass coastline filled with marine life, what do we do?

This administration is bartering fish for Khat and earlier sold fishing rights to the Chinese for $1 million. I remember last year Australia slaughtered 10k camels because they couldn’t afford to feed them due to drought. Somalis were crying and were calling it to be shipped to Somalia. Geeljire only values camels while billions in the sea is stolen every year . Just look even in this forum. We use tuna as an insult to beesha warsangeli

Isnt it crazy that a country that has a famine every year some how still has the audacity to look down on fish :mjlaugh: :dead:

geeljires dont eat fish and during the colonial era geeljires flooded into the cities and brought their anti-fish sentiment with them

I think its work that somalis dont want to do. because it takes time and skill to create a nice fish dish While camel meat is easy. Somalis are just lazy :mjdontkno:
Our lord allowed us to eat pork if we are in dying hunger, and you saying that people are in famine because they are to lazy to make decent fish. What do they do with their time my friend.

Speak for Lamagoodles of Somalia,

in Djibouti, we do eat fish AT LEAST once a week, usually friday (my family's tradition)

We ought to discriminate niggas who hate fish.

Even if we ain’t eating it, we need to understand it’s a valuable resource. Not sell licence for a million bucks or trade it with khat. Add that to the thieves stealing it every year

:farmajoyaab: Billions of $$$ lost every year

nomads do not eat fish. do you think bedouins in arabia ate fish? no the city dwelling fisherman in aden ate fish. it is the same issue in somalia, geeljires who couldnt prepare a fish to save their lives flooded into all the cities and brought their anti-fish sentiments with them. suddenly the fishermen were being mocked by a bunch of illiterate camel herders who spent their weekends fighting over wells in the middle of nowhere :MNWheelchair:

Somalia would have major potential in the fishing industry. we have longest coastline in Africa with bunch of fish that langaab geeljire are too proud to touch

Reer cadan and reer Djibouti have a similar cuisine.
I lived in Aden when I was a kid , our yemeni neighbors used to eat fish and chicken almost daily , they'll only eat meat on fridays , Eids and on special occasions .
on the other hand us Somalis ( all reer waqooyi ) like a typical geeljire we used to eat hilib like 5 to 6 days a week .
I used to go the the hilib market with my uncle sometimes and the majority of the butcher's customers were always Somalis :deadrose:
our yemeni friends used to think we're super rich. :mjlol:

Somalis are the dumbest people, the audacity of them thinking they're actually smart, seafood is good for brain development, if they knew the benefits they would never look at dry goat meat or camel beat. If I ruled Somalia I would force them to eat seafood.

Even if we did value the sea, you think we'd be able to capitalise from it? Somalia is under heavy sanctions to the point where fisherman cannot even sell their product internationally, very sad reality. The heavy sanctions have hindered our industrial/economic progress tremendously.
