No attractive Somali woman has ever been rejected for the colour of her skin, nor are dark skin women treated as lesser. Many things including her clan take precedence over her skin colour. Dark skinned people don't face any kind of oppression. They're not deemed a lower caste, excluded from jobs or forced to alter their appearance to be more presentable.

Somalis calling people 'cadey' or even having a mild preference is nothing compared to the global standard. Who is less colourist than Somalis? South Asians? East Asians? Arabs? Europeans? Latin Americans? West Africans? Come on.

Absolutely none of the attitudes we have towards darker skin is absent in 95% of the cultures out there, but conversely a lot of negative perceptions others have are absent among Somalis.
