Somalis and reading issues

Is it just me or do Somalis in the west struggle with reading comprehension?
For example in my suburb there are a few Somalis and in school despite having access to many resources as their parents are successful; they still tend to struggle with reading. There is this one kid in study hall I just play video games with he has a F in a English class while trying it’s not that he has learning disabilities or anything.
Obviously this trend would be common due to most Somalis being in section-8 housing but this is a trend I noticed even when they afforded better education standards.

Why would you ask that question? Why would somalis somehow have bad reading comprehension?

Does that not suggest somalis are just in general dumber? You need to know the implications of your “questions”. If you’re on the fence on whether somalis are just dumber than everyone else or it’s just that you happened to notice a few set 8’s and it can’t speak for all somalis. Then it’s more than enough to show your inferiority complex.

Having reading comprehension issues does not necessarily equate to being intellectually inferior; it has more to do with environment and educational opportunities .
Considering Somalis in general are not the “model” minority with mixed rates of success in the west. When a decent chunk of the Somali population are in areas with limited opportunities and devalue education compared to other avenues. It’s a well known fact that in the states income disparity correlates with scores. The question I had was do Somalis struggle with reading comprehension when afforded equal opportunities. I never said other people can not struggle at reading in general the ability to read fluently is going down;I want to know if Somalis in the suburbs are a part of this trend.
Nation wide statistics prove that reading skills are going down in almost every race except indoyarr, This is a issue for everybody I want to know where suburb Somalis fall in this spectrum considering that nearly 95 percent of the population is declining in this aspect

It’s not genetic,Somalis are pretty smart when afforded opportunities one can be smart but lack in the other area
