all the clans mentioned are isaaq walaal, the descendants of Sheikh Abdrihman bin Ismail al-Jeberti were never slaves and are accepted by their fellow arabs and live with them as equals in Oman.

I'm OG from Galbeed. We say qaro, qaado, sigsaan, canjeero etc but we say digaag not doro.In the north they got bare arab words
We call it canjeero they call it laxoox

We call watermelon as qaro while they call it as hab-hab

Dooro is south, digaag is north. Egyptian pronounce ج as gI was at an Egyptian restaurant today and the worker said "dagaag kebab" and I thought he was copying me since I pronounced it like that when I was ordering then my friend said that's how Egyptians say it
The Arabic word for chicken is Dajaj (دجاج) but Egyptians pronounce their J's as a G and say Dagag, the way somalis say digaag.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that a number of somali words have already been replaced by arabic words mostly in northern somalia since we're muslim and that we have trade relationship with the arabian peninsula. Word such as cusbo became milix, qado beacme malqacad and in this case dooro became digaag.
Amhara have a number of cushitic loan word in their language such as billaawe goroyo and dooro. Amhara region use to have a majority cushitic speaking population that changed later into an ethio-semitic speaking population. They also have the e-v32 that somalis also have.
In other words amhara use to be a cushitic speacking cousin of the somalis that shifted both linguistically and genetically into the ethio-semitic sphere. It's not only amharic but also ge'ez have cushitic loan for example they say in ge'ez samay or shamay meaning sky in arabic it would be sam' but they also call the sky eer which is similar to somali cir.
