Should Somaliland join with Djibouti and at the sometime have a semi autonomy status without the detriment of the Afar and Issa pollical power?.

Minimal political power in Djibouti i.e 2 MP hailing from Somaliland. Djibouti city would be the capital also Hargeisa would be the capital of Somaliland (Scotland and England relationship ).But, Djibouti city would be the capital of the supposed union. Somaliland could benefit from Djibouti's links with the mainstream countries with regards gaining capital and foreign companies investing in SL. Somaliland's GDP is $2 billion and Djibouti's GDP is $1.9 Billion. Somaliland and Djibouti can both benefit from militarily, Djibouti has over 20,000 personals active including just over 12000 are reserves. On the other hand, it was reported that Somaliland has 30,000 active military personal whilst the reserves are 5000.

Djibouti's Somali population is roughly the same groups of people that live in Somaliland

interims of education, Somaliland school students would benefit from the union because they get to learn English and French which broaden their horizon when it comes to future opportunities.


But, if there is a supposed reffuredum of Djbouti union with Xamar somalilanders are more likely to sympathise with the Afar and Issa population of Djibouti.

Wallahi we gadabursi and isaaqs are already established in Djibouti. We just need to declare our intentions and formalize the process. Because im afraid at the rate things are going now Somalia will come back in full force and reclaim Somaliland. This is why we have to hurry up and jump ship.

We gadabursi and isaaqs already run Djibouti to be honest with you wallahi. So this a great idea. I have done my part before I have consoled Djiboutians politicians to take back Saylac, lughaya and Borama and Awdal from Somaliland.Wallahi we can pull this off before its too late.

Somaliland need to bring intelligent people to table and refrain from this criteria of mujahideens. Why give power to stupid mujahid Whos job is the battle fields? make all these fake mujahideens soliders and recrute them in the army. But they should not have higher positions in the goverment. Look at MUSA BIHI AND SILANNYO, they championed based on their guerrila background. No wonder all they know is jabhad.

No, Djibouti is a rival to Somaliland's independence and sovereignty, Somaliland would never join Djibouti, the only possibility is that Djibouti joins Somaliland, we got a larger GDP and a more important port, Djibouti also sees Somaliland as a region under Somalia. And if Somaliland would "join" Djibouti then 100% it would start a war where either Djibouti wins and Somaliland becomes a colony or Somaliland wins and Djibouti becomes a Somaliland colony(this would also start a war between samaroon and Ciise, the winner gets awdal)
