The only thing I disagree with the deal so the size of the base. It has to be 2.5km like other military naval bases.Somalians had their chance to recognize SL and they refused, so we will gain recognition on our own.

You are naive if you believe the Somalians are not rabid qabilists. The same guys who sell their sea to Kenya and invite foreign armies in their inter-qabiil wars

Nah bro, I've met many decent isaaqs in the real world.. But this guy could be a non somali fueling the hate.. You never know who's behind the screen.

You're letting a fox into the hen house, Ethiopia's population in 50 years will be past 180m, and they'll crave you out like what the Israelis did to the Palestinians.

I wish you the best of luck in giving them sea access in Saaxil, no one in Awdal will be supporting such a development.

The observation here is pretty interesting. People are worried that Ethiopia's population will hit 180 million by 2040, but that's not as big of a deal as it seems. Let's look at the numbers. Back in 1955, Ethiopia's population was 7.8 times bigger than Somalia's. Fast forward to 2023, and it's 7 times larger, counting Somalia plus Somaliland. By 2040, it's projected to be only 5.6 times bigger. So, the gap between Ethiopia and Somalia is actually shrinking over time. Plus, there's the fact that the Somali population in the Ogaden region of Ethiopia is growing fast.

You got it all wrong brother. Its not about the population difference. Its about Ethiopia gaining a foothold in Somali lands where they have the shortest border distance with. They can certainly transplant their people in that stretch of land they are awarded.
