50/50 power sharing agreement was made in the past and it didn't work.i.e the 4.5 system which alienates the vast majority people formally known as "reer waqooyi" But, personally I think SL should keep going or join Djbouti in which there could be a England and Scotland relationship in which the political issa class and Afar don't get dominated by Issaq and Gaddarbirisi. Issaq gets 15-20% of parliament representation and the majority in regards to Somali members of Parliament have to be issa in the supposed capital in Djibouti city. However, both SL and Djibouti get to keep their flags because they represent historical occurrence. furthermore, I do think it could work because Issa, Gaddarbirisi and issaq use to live among one another along the coast from Lughaya to saylac.

No, all im saying the political class in xamar never saw "reer waqooyi" as equal shareholders from 1960 till the end. So therefore, with Djibouti its a similar demographic that is seen in sl in regards to qabil.
It was siad barre. He did it to everyone. He disbanded all political parties. So it wasn’t a political class that did shit to “reer waqoyi” Present day puntland rebelled. The difference was SNM was being properly armed so he took that threat more serious.

That doesn't address my point that I made. Political southern elites took "reer Waqooyi" for granted. in addition, there was huge disparities between back then north and south. How come a President never was Gaddarbrisi, Issaq or Issa. despite, back then issaq was larger than darod. Look, I don't think SL would benefit from Somalia being dictated by southern political elites who happened to be Hawiye and Darod.
