Let us be careful not to conflate two issues:
a) The threat of Oromos in all .So territories; this is prevalent, and a real threat in all major cities from Baydhaba to Hargeysa to Bosaso to Xamar and far in between.
b) Alienation of other Somalis. Despite the politics, this benefits no one, and even if some disagree with political configuration, their being Somalis must never be questioned, even in jest.
The object here is to highlight (a) whilst discouraging (b).
There are documented cases of Oromos masquerading as Somalis both in .So and in the diaspora, MN is a case in point.
The greatest disservice is to ignore the threat, pretend it is not happening, only to discover when it is too late.
Let us not be in denial.
