Good on Somaliland. No-one will protect your history except yourselves. I hope PL copies and Stores it's history into PL Regional Musuem. It's easy. You start from the 14th century with Darod Arrival. You keep finding artifacts or oral history to create the environment your people were in each century. Store clothing types, weaponry, nomadic and coastal home types, livestock, etc. You should even present wars if wars were on-going as we can marke this the 'dark period' of our history and then showing an emerging sultanates from the 18th century.

Well, i wouldnt say somalia. But, it has always has been a cultural centre for ALL Somalis whatever they are from. I have to add, the city of Hargeysa, somaliland has changed dramatically since I've been there 14 yrs ago.

Thats the danger, Somalis always had oral history but the generation that remembers is going away and there's a fear that it will be lost.

There's already couple of small private museums. But I believe only the old places should have a museum and heritage
