Somaliland must come to Garowe for recognition

We have to look at the historical facts. Puntland declared statehood in 1998 and claimed dominion over all Harti territory. This led to Somaliland having skirmishes with Puntland which labelled its claimed regions as disputed. Since then Somaliland spends 35% of its budget on security, this is the highest record in the world and the second record Somaliland has aside from consumption of khat.

In that time Puntland has successfully pushed federalism, the SFG and most recently Jubbaland. Somaliland meanwhile has not progressed politically, it has been economically stagnant and is more divided now than the civil war of 1994. An IDP in Bosaso makes more than the average Somalilander in Hargeisa.

So I conclude that it is important for Somalilanders to come to Garowe.
