The fact that Garaad Jaamac, Chief of all Dhulbahante, is today in Las Anod declaring Somaliland dead in Sool is massive blow to all of Somalilandclaims to legitimacy. If every single garaad and ugaas of Dhulbahante are saying our people won’t be part of this project, what is the source of Somaliland’s claim to Sool? A rubicon of some sort was crossed this month.
Somaliland misjudged things, they thought that by killing protesters they could bring things back under control. Massive backfire, people don’t like having their unarmed children killed in the streets. They gave the Dhulbahante no choice, cornered people are dangerous.
