Some argue the whole intention is Oil related. They argue the basin is in Sool not Isaaq land. Similar to how the basin isn't in the shabelle but in the blue nile in Ethiopia. They fear SL oil-stream is like Shabelle, tiny in comparison to the blue nile basin which is in Sool.

SNM has been assasinating the 'haldoor' of Dhulbahante up to 150 since 2007, so their no 'intelligence' left in their community and they are all down to 'ina cambashe' quality who only see their small pay-check but don't see all the projects SL re-directs under their region's name.

SNM takes the millions using Sool name and gives pennies to ina cambashe types. Their SNM declaration also said to FIGHT HORUMARKA sool.

I told u the unity of SNM is 'external shared enemy' posture like South Sudan did with North Sudan and u see what happened to them. Or what happened to Somalia after 77 when their was no 'ethio shared enemy' in the equation, we turned the guns on ourselves. The weakest and most destructive form of unity is a unity on an 'external entity'.

Why can't they do what PL did. Unite on the love of your own ppl and land and then play a positive role to expand that love to other somalis. PL didn't unite on the hatred of others. It's the most peaceful assembly of a people post 91 in the horn of africa. A remarkable feat that is never mentioned. Our slogan was to build a state that 'protects our security while protecting our neighbors'.

It's well known our Isimo told our politicians create a state 'ay puntland ku amaan helayan iyo deriskeena ay naga aman helayan'. Which means create a state that protects our peace but also ensures our neighbors get peace from us. We didn't want to add negativity to our neighbors

@killerxsmoke SL could've played a positive role but their beginning was founded in violence, their assembly was done with violence, their SNM declaration is about hating others not loving their own whether it's SSC or Hamar. Their outcome will be no different to south sudan or somalia after 77 if recognized.

U think Somalis would follow in the PL model of peaceful assembly, a unity on the love of yourself and spreading it outwards to ur neighbors if SL didn't model itself how it is? where they play a big role in Shabab, after-all they don't want to spread the love but want to spread their hatred to others which is wake-up call to the region n world(they will be destructive force if recognized, after all they play nothing but negative role in the region).

Their state needs to be gutted and rebuilt from scratch with Puntland pillars not SNM pillars. These guys can't even elect civilian leaders as president and still an SNM state.

I already provided SL a political platform. Seek ur secession the legal way, declare u accept somalia borders and will play a positive role in Somalia and help nation build, use that as evidence to Somalis and the world so in return u get your SL independence aspirations. That's a far more realistic secession model. 200 or so nations are not going to violate member state borders becuz of Isaaq madness.

Gut the SNM who's time is long over, start a peaceful assembly and make sure the pillars are about loving isaaq and their land and helping somalia in a positive manner
