Somalia's Oil

We have an estimated 30-110 billion barrels+ blocks of oil scattered across our nation and off our shores, and we could make 1.9 trillion dollars ranking us the 8th richest country in the world, just above countries ltaly, Canada and Russia. Due to our low population everyone could live comfortably and build all of our major towns and districts in a few years.
We need a solution to our countries problems to exploit these resources wallahi, we have the oppurtunity to become the richest country in Africa and one of the richest in the world, we have the longest coastlines, beautiful natural beauty which could attract tourism, we are missing out.

Even if we did have oil who’s gonna get a cut? Politicians and the upper class have a culture of tuugonimo and nepotism. We’re gonna act like gulf Arabs but on steroids

People pull the strings, no one is born evil enough or stupid enough to do stuff so crazy, western countries are working behind the scenes and are ready to eliminate all Somali politicians who try to bring good to their nation, just speaking out against tribalism is enough to get you killed, all these presidents are all western stooges, whether you support Sheikh Sharif, Farmajo or Hassan Sheikh or your federal president, they are all foreign stooges that do what ever they are commanded to, I don't think Somalia will ever become a developed country.

You have a misunderstanding of basic economics. If by some miracle you managed to drill all supposed $1.9 trillion worth of oil within the span of a year, you wouldn’t become the 8th richest country in the world. Your GDP would rise to 8th for a year and then drop dramatically after the oil reserves have been depleted

I think the government signed up that oil deal few months ago with US based company called Coastline Exploration.
