Arms embargo being lifted would make things far worse. Imagine the clan militias aka SNA with heavy weapons (they already shoot at each other) keep in mind half (I’m probably underestimating) are in or have ties to Al Shabab. South Somalia is dead.

Agreed. Used to think that the arms embargo was a punishment. Now it's clear that it's to save them from themselves. Look at the FGS trying to interfere in the South West State elections. Imagine if those troops had mortars and air strikes...
