We must not ever centralize our nation to one place and one idea, that can lead to one big single point of failure and effect all our nation like our previous government has proved. We must ensure we remain separate in our development policies, we don't have the same views or opinions on how to develop, so it's best you do what you want and Puntland does what it wants. Why do we need to centralize it? it's better at least by diversifying we can measure different ways of doing thing and have larger data sets to work with for statistic and performance review on each state, that isn't available if everything is centralized.

I heard some stupid comments that COMESA is bad for Somalia because it will kill Somali business-men, compete or die is what I say to Somali business-men, by keeping the nation isolationist in economics it will only lead us to lose investors in the nation who won't see diversified options to choose from in terms of providers and it can lead to a-lot of corruption when only one company or one nationality is providing all key services a business needs to operate and it can become costly but it also can be come threatening as they hold you hostage to their service and squeeze you out of profitability untill you become bankrupt.

Somalia won't develop untill we ensure our infrastructure and energy needs are highly diversified and cheap and competitive, this can lead to more businesses trusting the market-place as they have choices to select from and begin forging new ideas and foreign players also take advantage of the market and see a consumer base developing because the cost of living has substantially dropped due to the diversification in the market place with various players all competing.

Competition is healthy, without it, Somalia is doomed to a slow development trajectory and we will be wondering in 10 years why is it we only built 3 roads when we could've of built 50 if we had a diversified market place with all players gaining access across our continent. May centralism be doomed, a failed policy from yesteryear. May nationalism die and may competition be our new nationalism.

I agree we should let states enjoy some autonomy on development plans and a whole host of other things.

Btw remain seperate ha dhihin but develop independently but within the federal platform :nvjpqts:
