I was watching videos about the crisis in Lebanon and Sri Lanka things like electricity and fuel have become subsidized, their banking sector collapsed and people queuing to withdraw their savings. Mass emigration through out both countries, overall Somalia is a failed state on papers with the private sector pitching in and covering the people needs, we have a healthier business environment than alot of 3rd world countries.

We have become accustomed to somali being in rough shape. The abnormal becomes normal and it gives illusion things aren’t bad. We are one of most corrupt nations on planet, no real economy just import cheap goods with purchasing power coming from diaspora and aid. I think the country has potential Sanaag alone has enough resources to earn billions if given the investment, not to mention the private sector that literally without it Somalia would be worse. It's not some utopia more downs than ups but give it some time i say 10 years from now, it'll go from 5th to 4th inshallah.
