Then u have clowns in here who actually say Somalia is better off today, that's criminal and the admin has to intervene to remove those ppl. The whole world sees us post siyad as the lowest scum of the world, yet you want to tell me that were better off today? VIVA SIYAD.

You are right we are the lowest of the low now. It's truly embarrassing how anyone can prefer this to pre-1991. We had a chance to become one of the best nation on earth but blew the opportunity. Many don't realize how many doors could've opened up for us in the 90s if we had a stable gov. Iraq was in a war, Ethiopia was collapsing, the USSR ended.. The US and the West alongside the East were looking for a reliable country in Africa

@anon2 Siyad had many plans after addressing the physical/social infrastructure infrastructure. It's clear he was going to do the baardheere dam and make the nation energy ready to reduce costs but also handle industrial demand and ensure high availability so it's not power outages.
He had the oil project being worked out. The economy was super good also cuz an economy is judged by the avg income of the mass vs rent or housing prices and grocery/utility cost. In a good economy rent should be 30% max of the avg income, 10% grocery, 10% utilities like water/electricity, 50% savings or further investment. House prices should be 3-4 times an average income also if their buying.

We really need to look back and mimic some development elements the old gov. used. We have new technologies so things can be done much easier. We are lacking behind the rest of the world
We had massive famines in 70s that killed thousands when we were barely 3 million which lead to people clashing over resources. Now we 18 million issues multiplied by 6 and climate and droughts getting worse. You can’t build nation with crazy half starved nomads doing whatever they want and have no fear of government. It’s not like you can send secret police to their house

I wish I knew, water is issue most of the time. Eventually those tuulo will be hit with drought and they will move and seek resources. When I see places like galdogob I don’t get good feeling about future
