I realized this when I went to Kenya (which is probably the most well developed subsharan african country after south Africa) and i saw Nairobi and the other cities. It occurred to me that if this was the best in subsharan africa then there has to be something off about somalia's stats.

Infact it's in the interest of black market to ensure its prosperity by ensuring Somalia formal economy is estimated in ways friendly to their interests also.
