Just like the Brits who in late 19th & early 20th century colonized the rest of the world, took their resources to England and became instant rich people. Somalis in diaspora have education, US dollars or Diaspora Currency, they go back to Somalia with wealth, build a country from scratch. This will ripple effect, and make the Somalis who never went abroad, copy them, inspire to be like the diaspora Somalis, slowly and surely every facet of Somalia will progress in an organic natural way. Politics will expand, hopefully they implement Somalia Constitution, Army, Police Security, etc etc ...Right now at its infancy--- Business, real estates & Entertainment industry is blowing. Inshallaah,,,,i have good feel for the future of Somalia!

Half Somalia problem is copying. They need to sit back and ask themselves, haven't we managed ourselves in the past? look back at their past from colonial time till non colonial time and see which system worked to keep stability.

I say non-colonial cause the nomadic folks still use traditional systems that are local to Somalia and not from abroad and it has clearly maintained the peace for them to achieve their objectives of growing their livestocks. The same needs to be done for the city, if your going to copy anything, at least copy something that has worked and can be proven to work through observation and facts.

Colonial systems or anything based on it which our country is needs to be reviewed for past performance, it gave us a civil war and increased mistrust among somalis especially regarding power and in my opinion, I feel that is why tribalism grew, it was because the state wasn't reflecting the culture of Somalia and was reflecting the competitive culture of the western world where people compete for power through elections. We need a system that isn't about competition or it will just create the same mess again and everyone will go 'tribal' we need a system that fosters cooperation similar to the nomadic traditional system.

Educated folk??!! It would've been a blessing in disguise if they were educated but they're not. The Parliament is full of ignorant diaspora hags and we cannot move forward with them as "legislators".

It's people like you who cannot think beyond colonial mind-sets that is ruining our country. We need fresh thinkers that can think beyond colonial structures and democracy and competitive elections. Oman and it's system is proof positive how you design a system for competing tribes. They use traditional mechanism and are now the happiest arab country in the world and there is never chaos in their country.

All I am saying why can't we do a similar Oman approach and use our nomadic system and convert it into a modern government like they did?
