The south was anything below the beletwayn river. Similar geography, similar occupation which resulted in a similar culture. Nugaal was all Sool to Eyl. Similar geography, similar culture, similar occupation. Bari is known as Sanaag + Bari who are similar geography(mountains) and low land plains, but also similar occupations frankincense/fishery was popular in those areas.

Mudug/Galgaduud/Wardheer and those eastern regions in Ogadeniya were similar geography, similar occupation(very livestock orientated) as a result they have a similar culture.

The proper north started from Hargeisa-Berbera-Zaylac-Jabuti. The Hawd is Burco-Cayn and overlapping areas of Ogadeniya. But some argue the proper Hawd not the colonial hawd actually stretches all the way to Galgaduuud-Mudug-Wardheer as it's similar environment, similar occupation, and therefore similar culture will arise.

Then u had 'urban' culture which was really on Mogadishu at the time. Urban culture was about connections in the town, family ties(not tribal), etc. It's similar to the west, it was a place of nepotism and about who you know not WHO YOU ARE.

Why are we using colonial borders to define physical geographic, cultural, and occupational zones? This makes far more sense to me then the nonsense of colonial borders. The environment u live in shapes your occupation and thus the people who live there will also have shared culture since it will be influenced by their occupation and general environment. That's how similar cultures are born. Urban areas will always be Urban culture as it's who u know and your circle of friends that are important, this common across all urban cultures, even in Somalia it was like that in the 60's era. In Urban areas they stick around those who can make them PROSPER in the city, hence classes develop in urban areas.

People stick with their class. Hence tribe was known in Somalia cities but it wasn't used because it wouldn't result you in developing your networks which was spread out in class system, clicks, etc. So they would ignore their tribes-man in the city in-case it 'shames' them cuz that guy might not be successful so they stayed away from them. It was a class orientated system.

The reer miyi would enter the town for whatever reason and try to look for their tribe and realized their own tribes-man were neglecting them, they didn't adjust very well in the city life that's all it was. It was in Siyad time he gave them a higher position in the city and this caused the circles of friends on class to deterioate, communism was responsible as it preaches all people are equal regardless of background, occupation, wealth status, etc and why Siyad preached Somalinimo he wanted to eradicate it all and bring up one class of people like Chinese are now.

This is what caused Abdillahi Yusuf to revert to tribalism because he simply wasn't going to accept that idealogy. It's kind of true even within a family people are not equal. My father wasn't equal his own brothers who had larger families while he was a single child. This means less livestock inheritance for him and hence he would be 'poor' in rural areas if he didn't pack up and move to the city and make a new life. It's up to your parents really how they raised their kids or else why are some somalis successful from that era? they had wise parents, while some are not successful, they had dumb parents. It's as simple as that really.

f*ck Somalia wallahi, we aint heading nowhere untill those moryaans are sitting at the table, they got no reason to see a government be born they lose the most. They will only work for shiido inay dhacdo. Hopefully farmajo/kheyr the 50 year olds leave and our generation the 30 year old take over the nation we can just implement this plan not to consult anyone with bad history and begin rebuilding the nation. We need to look at history of how somalia was so we have an accurate picture of what it was like before, what it is like now, and what the best solution is. We can't work like the generation of farmajo/khayre, their still like the old generation dalka burburiyay sxb. Because farmajo/kheyre iyo 50 year olds waxay dalka ugu yimadan isago qabyalad toos ah ka jira, so their mentality is the same. We need 30 year olds who will not be biased and consult the older generation from 60s, the 80s, and then not include the 90s till 2000 generation who have nothing to lose as their kids will die in a somalia that is unified at peace.

Plus they don't understand any method of evidence gathering the older generation as we are born in the west, we can implement these evidence gathering from diverse age groups and list the pros/cons of each generation and look at the Somalia we currently have. We cant rely on carurti 1980ka sida farmaajo and khayr this was the era of the JABHAD. Our generation was born in the no government period. So we have no BIAS as we analyse the eras of somalia.

In my government I want anyone who was born in the west and grew up there so their no BIAS, we will speak luqada western world based on reason, evidence, science to convince ourselves because thats how we were raised to be critically thinking. We can solve somalia but not the generations before.

We need to agree on the method to resolve Somalia not who is right and wrong. I propose the scientific method because that is the generation I was born in. I will able to click with that generation only. If we don't agree on the method loo marayo xalinta somalia, it's going to be back n forth and status quo remains.

If we agree on the method used to resolve Somalia problem. Now we can list down where we have problems. We will go away and follow the method we agreed on whatever argument u fighting for, just bring EVIDENCE is the rule. We will weigh up the evidence and measure it with a FORMULA that we agree on to decide who wins the argument, who refuses has refused the scientific method.
