Somalia Foreign Policy Needs Philosophy Not Randomness

As Somalis you guys are not so good in your foreign policy arena and throw yourself alway towards 1 extreme sides and it's alwayss usually the 'losing' sides always like the USSR and USA Cold war. U have to understand some key ideas first about the world order.

1. West and their alliance across Europe-Aust-America-Canada-New Zealand. They have their own economic bubble, security alliance, and political alliance(freedom, human rights, democracy) plus they have proven in many wars their willing to defend it, it's not a 'joke' to them just like your madness around 'ethnic or religious identity politics isn't a joke to you'.

2. Russia, their first and foremost ambition is USSR glory days whether in the old format or different format is irrelevant to them. The restoration of their 'sphere' of influence is their main priority in foreign policy so their 'stocks' increase in international arena. Their primarily focused on 'security' independence/innovation/excellence, their ak.47 speaks volume about their 'quality' in security and longevity of everything they build. Economy is secondary to them. They want to restore or create new military dependencies.

3. China. Their purely economic orientated with anything outside their neighborhood, their not interested in political interference, proxies, or any direct conflict. If it's not economical related, their not interested. Their belt and road market zone and BRICS currency independence is taking shape. A possible World Bank like IMF for those markets also may develop to support nation building incentives for poorer countries. PPL say they do debt-trap development, like with any loan if u fail to servic it as agreed, they will execute clauses u signed too to repossess assets untill you do service your loan. Their not a 'bad world order' in all honesty. They do tend to only have 1 slight issue they want their ppl exported for top paying jobs on your project and their supply chains only. So their loan comes with lots of chinese taking the 'high skilled jobs and material supplies' a recirculating pyramid scheme. Their also known for sneaky things like innovation patent theft becuz their not willing to dump money into research and deal with the financial losses when it's more efficient letting west take that loss and they bribe someone in the west to get it.

4. Arab world. Their in an Absolute mess and it's even said 'arabs agreed to never agree' that's scary outlook right there on nothing positive coming from there. They have MB worries from Sunni world, Iran and the shia threat and their proxies over syria/yemen/iraq. Some arab nations are quiet and playing a neutral role.

We need to adopt a foreign policy of 'hedging' our bets this time and a hierachy based on trade, security, regional, historical, colonial, and new friends. We must not adopt America machavellian foreign policy of 'It has no friends or enemies but permanent interests' their 'fully devoted' to 1 extreme 'posture' which will come with 1 severe response or shock as they keep witnessing. They can afford to play that game due to their sheer size, this isn't something you can afford to put Somalia through. Somalia needs a policy that keeps to the spirit of 'hybrid' solutions not 'extreme solutions'

1. Security partner. After UN sanction is lifted which requires Somalia to stabilize politically/socially. They must seek a partner for 'knowledge transfer' and slowly reduce reliance on 'trade'. If u r not independent in your weapon development, your not a real nation and will suffer what happened to Siyad and Russia. Where ur weapons are made decides your future.

2. Trade. Items imported needs a ranking on it's importance and priority to the market or economic policy and the nation supplier

3. Historical, you need to keep this strong as it has matured especially arab world

4. Regional needs a-lot of work as the Two nations surrounding us, Kenya-Ethiopia are important western regional partners

5. New friends. We need to 'expand' outside our common established ties but not to anywhere either, their has to be 'return' for the nation like Cuba to help gain access to their quality health-care scholarships for doctors-nurses

6. Colonial UK/ITALY which is apart of the Western franchise now.

Our foreign policy must calculate and measure everything around those themes and it's trade offs and rank it and choose the most 'hybrid' solution possible.
