am planning to visit Somalia for the first time
And I want to know how much money I need to have. Is 15k ok or I need more?

Depends on which city you are going? If you staying at hotel or with relatives ? How long you will be there?Etc...
But 15k is definitely a lot and not safe to bring it in cash.
