Somalia Army Federally

I urge Somalis we need to discuss our military so we don't show that we are threat to the world. It needs to be federalized and the regional forces need to be stronger then the 'federal' army. We only need a light federal army for border matters nothing else this will send a good international message we are not designing our military like the past, there is no point telling the world your not a threat to them when you have a large army that is centralized.

Somali Federal forces should handle federal matters at the border, we don't need a large army like the SNA, the reason for that was we had a national goal of securing back the ogaden, those goals are no longer there and there is no reason for a large army unless we have other objectives and this can send bad vibes to neighbors.

It seems safer having strong regional army and they must be 'separated' from other federal regions while having a 'small light federal army' that handles only 'external' border matters. In the event there is need for 'war', we can combine our forces this seems like how we used to be under the 'adal' kingdom with Ahmed gurey requesting each region to bring their military, there was no 'centralized' Somali military ever in history, we seem to perform better like that where we some sort of 'coordination' point like an Ahmed Gurey at a Federal level who can 'legally' call upon all regional armies under it's command, I will sign that sort of deal and it's wise, if their is an external threat to Somalia, I am prepared to unite but if there isn't I want my regional army handling my region.

We would perform much better as a state with strong regional army with a light federal army. This federal army will be our first line of defence(weak) which is good as you can test the 'enemy' if he isn't even worth it, then u can call in the regions under constitutionally agreed circumstances in the past it was 'It was for Islam'. Now it will be 'our nation sovereignty is under attack'. We re-inforce not all regions but balance how many regions may be needed as we don't want to 'over-expend' like centralized SNA did to us. Plus when we are all centralized the enemy can plan for us easy, when we are regionally we all have different regional war experiences and can combine it like ahmed gurey days.

America can then inject strong capacity in the regions without worrying 'neighbors' who will see a large centralized army nears its borders. We will be far better suited to that and follow ahmed gurey set up of our army in the past and is in line with our traditions

In a united reconciled Somalia, its a terrible idea. The best is to have one Army, under one command for a country of this size and population.









But we are far from it. I want PL to keep its own forces.
