Fairly soon, Somalia will have to confront the hypocrisy it's condicting with regards to Sharia. The enforcement is purely cosmetic, yet every region claims to be implementing it. This is a criticism that fundamentalist groups like Shabab are absolutely correct when they point out.
Somalia has to be honest with the type of state it is trying to build, too often you hear people in Somalia say that implementing Sharia will just fix things, it's a totally utopian and illiterate position, and as Somalia becomes more educated as time goes on, more and more will point to the current hypocrisy and think proper enforcement of Sharia will just solve things.
Better to just come out and say that the state is secular, and that religion won't play a part in shaping of laws. Skirting around this will lead to this issue compounding and cause violence in the future.
