Somalia and Ethiopia signed an agreement exchanging Khat and Fish.

I can believe that almost every male in Somaliland has tried jaad, but no way in hell is that 90% figure referring to regular consumption. If that were the case, Somaliland society would have ground to a halt and become totally unproductive. As it is, Somaliland society today is undoubtedly the most successful Somali society in getting the most out of the little it has.

Here in the UK, prior to the ban, I'd say at least 80% of the guys I knew aged 18+ had tried jaad, but only a very, very small number were regular chewers. The fast majority did it once in a blue moon as just a bit of a fun.
I know the situation back home is very different and chewing jaad is more of a social norm. However, even there other than the older generation, it is highly unlikely that you can have the majority of males in a male-dominated society addicted to jaad and not have a society that is totally broken down. Somaliland society is the complete opposite, it is a remarkable success story given its international status, as documented by any objective person that ever visits it.
70% are unemployed.....

So apparently It's a trade contract that states they'll export their khat to us, we'll export our fish to them, and we'll get money in exchange, minimizing our trade imbalance.

Still annoying that Khat is legal. I guess Khat is like our alcohol so makes no sense.
It is worse than that. Making jaad illegal is a difficult for the Somalia government, but this is way worse than that. This is actively encouraging it.

I don't believe that figure is accurate.

However, if they are unemployed how are they getting the money to pay for jaad on a regular basis? People in the qurbaha are not sending money to pay for jaad addictions and Somaliland crime rate is incredibly low.
Remittances and Family?

Actually statistics show 75% of Somalilanders are unemployed and 70% of those employed are in the livestock field. Somaliland is not special at all and infact is one of the poorest regions of Somalia.

Congratulations. That is the most amount of bullshit and lies I have ever seen crammed into such a short post.

People in the qurbaha know their families and who they are sending their hard earned money to. They are not funding jaad addicts to sit on their back side and chew all day long.

The unemployment rate in Somaliland jumped 5% in the time between your last two posts :ftw9nwa:. You can't keep up with your own lies :ftw9nwa:.

Djibouti has a lower population which is centralised in one major city. Its unemployment rate is definitely going to be lower compare to the Somalia/Somaliland in which a significant amount of the population are spread out.

We like to spread BS on this site but the realities are much more dim , here is a guardian article quoting the statistic:

The Guardian should be utterly ashamed of themselves. They used a stat based on a sample of just 800 youths, taken by a random local NGO nearly 20 years ago.
As suspected that 75% figure is utter horseshit.

low iq trade deal, very sad situation we are in. Don't lose hope

We will make Somalia strong again
We will make Somalia wealthy again
We will make Somalia proud again
We will make Somalia safe again

You have to accept the truth , here is a UK-AID 2012 report which also supports that statistics:

" Among the youth (15-24), Borama’s unemployment rates were 69% and 62% for urban and rural areas respectively. Hargeisa’s unemployment rates were 34% and 41% for urban and rural areas while Burao had unemployment rates of 46% and 53% for urban and rural areas"

Here is a good image for the main Somaliland economic hubs:

The main urban towns have the best employment opportunities. The youth unemployment is abysmal and this doesn't take into account that a high percentage of the population is rural.

It's Buuqland Post they have to write some bullshit on Somaliland with a massive blunder like that from their majeertenia "government", I mean how can you take one of your most valuable resource and sell it - not for money - but KHAT!
Puntladpost is not for puntlant. They were insulting Puntlad throughout farmaajo term, it’s a pro N&N news outlet and Twitter page. Also it’s fake news

You have to accept the reality that Somaliland is doing far better than your cuqdad ridden nature wants it to be.
Even this report you have trodded out shows that in urban areas, where most of Somaliland's population lives now, unemployment is as low as 34%. That was nearly 10 years ago. Somaliland is doing a lot better than it was 10 years ago so I expect that unemployment rate to be even lower.

It also proves the stat of 75% you were running with was utter bullshit.

Ofcourse in the main economic hub unemployment will be relatively low, but if you take national averages it will be completely different.

34% in the capital with all the money flowing into it means other regions with less funds will have alot higher unemployment rates.

Lost hope on Our people.
First exchanging fish for Qaad
Then niggas argue which shithole is better
Instead of coming up with solution for the constant corruption, Social issues and reoccurring droughts.
