Every politician is corrupt to some degree if we're honest. The reason Deni is loved in Puntland is because of all the development in the last few years, as well as the democratic initiatives.

there two positves about Deni the rest are negatives

1. Puntland is more safe under Deni than under Gaas and Farole
2. Puntland is more organized there is more structure. Most countries applaud Puntland's governance and praise deni for getting rid of ISIS in Puntland (still in process), the eu fund alot of projects in Puntland. Recently the world bank funded a bridge in Garowe. Puntland feels more like a stable government compared to Mogadishu

However there is still so much corruption in Puntland, people are starving, people use dollars to buy everything, cost of electricity and food have sky rocketed. but to be fair Abdiweli Gaas is a greater thief. He sold our Bosaso port to DP World and left his seat with chunk of cash. That piece of junk needs to go to jail. Have you seen his large apartments in Nairobi? All build with Puntland's money. But to be fair Abdiweli gaas also build Bosaso Airport and Garowe Airport. So he has some positives too but still so much corruption, the only bright things about him.

So by far the previous two rulers of Puntland had a few positives but more negatives.

For the interest of Somalia. It's Kheyre or we are doomed for the next 4 years. You simply cannot appoint Sheikh Sharif, HSM, Said Deni or Farmaajo as the next president of Somalia.

Farmaajo did more good compared to HSM but he is far from a saint either. He sold Somalia's fishing licenses to China, gave away key ONLF leaders to Ethiopia, wanted to give Ethiopia four ports and did not do anything about the DP world deal. You also downplay his spat with Roble, it was really bad.

HSM is so horrible that people are now beginning to miss Farmaajo but at the end of the day he was too submissive to foreigners and did little to unite the country.
