I have commented on here few times before and I will say it again, Somalia will prosper and get out of this misery if women are allowed to rule.

We as men has failed and honestly most of men politicians turn out to conning, evil, narcissistic and calculating sociopaths.

Let us try women to rule us, may be this our last cue, let's be honest we are a cursed society because we oppress and sideline women and minorities.

Tell me hablo, gabdho, haween... why Somali women don't band together and get this nation together?

Somali men are intent on marginalising women politically and they cite all sorts of dubious rules but at the same time, Somali women back home are the ones operating small businesses or even at times, doing manual labour.

So, if Somali women are forced to work in the public and private sphere, why on earth do we allow these males to sideline us politically?

When warfare happens, Somali men get killed, which is a dignified way to go, but Somali women and girls, are raped and left to suffer all sorts of physical, emotional and psychological scars.

Somali women are the ones left behind to raise and protect families. If we take a census, I bet Somali women are more than 50% of Somalia's population.

I say all this to say, Somali women must protest nationwide and fight to get 50%, not less, of ALL political seats in all Federal states.

wallahi tbh the women in the Somali parliament are at least way more than women pms in Europe. There’s a lot of town mayors that are women in xamar as well. But let’s go for our 50%

One of the rights Allah(swt) gave women, is the right to education, which means a woman can study politics AND be in the parliament if she chooses. As for women ruling its not allowed in the religion I do believe they should have some representation in the government just not at the major ministerial positions.

I dont see how anyone could extrapolate that a place engulfed in war could benefit from female leadership or “feminine energy”. Women will not be able in reigning in there clans let alone an entire nation of them. Women and men have different avenues this is one of them and women should respect that.
