That's mostly due to our mother's influence, I've seen more Somali girls marry Ajnabis more so than guys, but it's usually the darker Somali girls, I've noticed a trend where they marry white guys so their kids wouldn't have to go through the same shit they did.

I've courted a few Muslim girls but doesn't usually work out, I just keep remembering my mother's voice " If it doesn't work out, just remember those kids are not going to be learning your language, traditions and history." as I gotten older I've tried my best to get closure to my culture, and since I live in the west, I want my kids to be connected to their history and language.

In fact, during Middle and High School, they did date foreign girls and foreign girls pursued them.
