We stole baasto iyo suugo from the Italians but we made it better, our suugo is delicious and has spices.

We stole baris iskudhaxkaris from Indians but we made it better.

We stole henna designs from Indians also but we also make it better.

We stole instrumental music from Arabs but our voices and language make it better.

We stole words from other countries but it sounds better when we use it.

Rice is a part of many world cultures, but Somalis are the first to give theirs away.

The henna plant also grows in Africa and is indigenous to Africa, lets not give that away too.

No offense, but Somalis have a problem of thinking EVERYTHING from their culture is foreign and they have no unique culture, I've noticed this problem from descendants of Reer Baadiye aka the Rural folk.

Reer Magaal are more aware of our contributes to our culture and also foreign culture.

I also noticed reer badiye who think they’re reer magaal always giving their two cents when it’s not needed . It’s a known fact that Somalia borrowed a lot of things from different cultures.
