A) King Barreh and his Queen Hadiyo in the Land of Punt ,Somalia,in Horn of Africa at the 15th century BC (before Jesus Christ). This is aFresco of the trade expedition to the Land of Punt sent by Hatshepsout the female Pharaoh. In this Image, the Royal Puntite Couple welcome warmly the Ancient-Egyptians in the Land of God ,Punt ,"TA-Netjer " considered by the Egyptians as their Original Homeland . The King wears the somali traditional loincloth "Gundhate" with the dagger "Qolxad" and the Queen wears the "Garays" the official somali female cultural dress and the Somali Hairstyle with the white Cloth Headband .

B) Two Somali Puntites Workers carrying frankincence for the Egyptians who came to the Land of Punt.Trade Expedition of the Queen Hateshepsout in the 15th century B-C . (1490-1470 BC) .The Somalis wear still now this traditional costume of their Egyptian-Puntites Ancestors .The white royal loincloth called "Gundhate" "Gunti" in both Somali and Egyptian languages and the cultural necklace called " Xirsi" ,"Qardhaase".

These Frescoes A) B) and many others were found in the temple of the Pharaonic Queen Hatshepsout ;named "ISIR ISIR".because the Columns of the temple were built with the shape of the roots of the papyrus. "Isir" means "Papyrus , roots of Papyrus" " in ancient-egyptian language and "Isir" is currently a somali female name. This word "Isir" in somali refers also to the roots of humans as the "Ancestors http://somaliegyptianpuntite.blogspot.com/

Interesting. I always knew we were connected with the Egyptians.

Truth is, no one knows who we truly are, because we neglected archeology and did not bother to preserve our history in writing.

Everything else is just conjecture.

Also Cushitic is a fake made up label that Somalis seem to be running with. It is quite silly actually, how we take on these nonsense names as if they are real or have any meaning.

We dont need to dig into archelogy to find where we came from. Leave that archeology digging to Steamdevelopment.

By mental deduction, we can presume, we are from an arab origin, purely from our similar language, our majority Islam religion. Logically, we can say Yemen is close to us, therefore we share similar traits. However the DNA ancestry dot com has proven we dont share DNA with middle east, if we do, it is very miniscule. Therefore, we must conclude, our Y chromosome line comes from an African indigenous, and our mother is arab. A similar example is the Arabs whose original mother was a slave African woman according to hadith.

But my hunch is Somalis are a sect of Arabs who migrated to Somalia, once upon a time just a single tribe. Then--the tribes just split into various tribes. As is consistent with the Darood tribe, Darood being the source origin start point. Hawiya the same. Isaaq the same. Really our history is in the Oral, not written.

I think we are probably very ancient middle eastern back migrants. I also noticed that modern Arabs are not ancient Arabs, meaning that they are mixed with Turks and many other Eurasian groups. This is why there is such a confusion.

We almost certainly resemble ancient dark Arabs more.

But our features are too pure and crisp to be just resembling ancient dark arabs. I hope by dark u mean tone wise and not feature wise.

What are "dark features"?

I mean the colour, not the phenotype.

Somalis tend to have sharper facial features even than majority of arabs in Saudi Arabia. our facial sharpness almost resemble Caucasians more than arabs. That's the mystique.

Caucasians have bigger fleshier noses, we tend to have slim sharp features, or small button noses. Also we have full lips, whereas they tend to have thin lips.

I noticed also that a lot of the pure Bedouin Arabs of the desert (not those Turkic mountain Yemenis) tend to look very Somali in phenotype. I have met many of these types, and often confused them for being Somali.

There are certain tribes in Yemen like the Mahra for example that look like this, as well as Saudi Bedouins and even sometimes Syrian Bedouins and Jordanian Bedouins.

Excactly Samatar! U hit the nails. Bedouin Arabs. In fact, if u look at it, Bedouin Arabs were Nomadic people, not nomadic in a sense of going too far out of their familial geography of course. That would make sense, because as Somalis one of our major traits is this idea of being very insulated and not willing to mix with outside races or tribes. I think this trait is a specific Bedouin characteristics. In fact, learning the Hadith, it was the custome of noble aristocratic arabs to send their babies to Bedouin Arabs so that they suckle their babes and raise the kids up to a certain age as it was the norm then. There was a sense of purity associated with Bedouin Arabs living rural, where language and health shines. Prophet Muhammad pbuh went through the same thing, he was brought up by a lady named Xalima, which coincidentally is a famous and common somali name. Her tribe of reer Saad. Which incidentally Hawiya, Habar gidir have a similar tribe sub clan called Saad lol! Bedouin life tends to have this purity, where there is zero chance of contamination from an outside race, which I believe Somalia has been for many years. Whatever Somalis are, for sure, they are a new race, by that I mean, not ancient old, immigrants to Somalis most possibly, a Bedouin tribe or race, etc etc etc
