I have an aunt and uncle in the US who've voiced to me that they're thinking of moving somewhere in the Muslim world like Malaysia or Pakistan (they speak Urdu; long-story) because they're weirded out by all the Gender ideology stuff in American schools, especially in liberal states. Plus, it'd just be nice for their kids to grow up hearing the call to prayer and eating halal food.
My own parents, my mother in particular, were quite insistent that I grow up in one place my entire life and go to one school, provided it was a healthy environment, so that I could have lifelong friends and a sense of home and good memories. Single neighborhood of Dubai for 5 years, another neighborhood of Dubai for 3 then my entire teens and much of my 20s until I moved out in one neighborhood of Sharjah that was 15 mins from Downtown Dubai without traffic and basically the same school in Dubai that was 2-5 mins away by car without traffic from KG-2 until Grade 12 when I finished up highschool.
Their goal succeeded, I would say. Lifelong childhood friends and definitely fond memories and groundedness in terms of having memories of a single general area I grew up in. All three of those neighborhoods were within like 10 mins max driving distance of each other in the end.
