Somali mentality

Give us a story time (leave out any details that are too intimate). I know it’s painful, but what’s so traumatising about it?? Did she have a bad experience at the hospital...
Inexperience it was only me and her and this was her first pregnancy
High risk pregnancy
Lost lots of blood
The doctor had to cut her
Three hours in surgery after
Not knowing if she was going to make it or not

This isn't about qabiil just about mentality of some people back home nobody gonna find it odd if the man isn't present when the wife gives birth which is weird to me

The way I see it a man should be present and give his wife emotional support

The reason Somali men say so is because back home doctors don't even cover the women's vagina from the husband with a gown like here, first time Farahs have to witness their cute tiny hole enlarging to the obvilion and it's edges looking like they about to crack, lol it is not a good scene and most Somali women don't even like you staring at it.

Oh my... That’s very frightening. If you don’t mind me asking, where was her husband during the birth or even her mother. Did she have to pick one person only & decided for you to be by her side?

My Dad was ill so my mum had to leave the country.
They weren’t in a good place in their marriage at the time.

I am not forcing him. I will accept whatever my husband wants. but My submissive self needs my manly husband to be there and tell me to hurry up. :lawd:
Periodt. He needs to be strict, no "take your time baby" but instead "hurry the f*ck up we aint got time for this shit, pop that baby in 5 min"

I wouldn't want to see that either, and a lot of women wouldn't want their husbands to see that (didn't say all don't misquote me) the only way I'd be there is if my wife requested it.

I thought it you was talking about your cousin, but read your post again & found out it was about your sister.

I hope everything is all well ❤️

How’s your sister dealing with motherhood? Is she quite young?

When people mention the "mentality" of a people, it usually entails certain good/bad practices or views that encapsulate behavioral ethos in a broad manner. But I don't know how this qualifies as a moral to extrapolate; just a strangely specific case.:mjlol:

I've a friend who's a nurse, she also told me in the US the Somali husbands leave the hospital when the wife is in labor and come back after the baby is delivered and cleaned up.

I heard the reproductive organ of the Females becomes hollow post birth... My two legs can comfortably stay inside her.

He better be in the room with me and witness the hell i’m going through. Tf :westbrookwtf: It takes two to make a baby, there’s not much you can do but be there with me for moral support.

But these poor faraxs will witness their wife go through pain. He loves her so much that he isn't willing to be with her when she needs him most. :gucciwhat: And to think that women are defending deadbeat behaviour. If my husband refused to be there I'd get a divorce. I would never forgive him.
