Somali men how do you approach somali women who you are attracted to ?

I have never approached a Somali woman in my life, and probably never will, and yet I am married to a Somali woman.

@VantaBlack

Sxb, we can only speculate that it was an arranged marriage and if it is, can you explain how it was arranged, how long it took, your experiences in physically meeting one another, was it as a married couple? @Younes Osman take notes.

Yes it was arranged marriage, and I arranged it myself but in very clever ways that I do not want to share. Might arrange myself a 2nd one if I ever live past having one wife.

There was this fob who recently came and got married to a london xalimo when at first her parents were against it. After he got married, whenever he would come home, there was no food and she would be eating takeaway. He tried many times to tell her to change and cook but she would just order takeaway. Her mom said to him this is not Somalia and that he has to cook and clean the house.

Long story short, she was divorced and the mother was in debt because she borrowed money to have huge wedding and the fob said he sends money to his parents and said he wants a small one and refused to pay and the mother went ahead with anyway

Do you not have any sisters, cousins ect? What world are you living in? I was born and raised in London and most of the girls do indeed know how to cook and clean. The ones that don't are usually the baby of the family. It has nothing to do with the fact that they are from the west, but more to do with the fact that the older sisters end up having to do everything!.

I dont have any sisters but my cousins can cook but its not something you would look forward to eating. When I was Somalia, the quraac let alone the qado was lit. Also, many choose not to cook out of arrogance

Honestly, that explains a lot about why you feel and think certain things. You don't seem to interact much with Somali girls. Well, western ones anyway.

Yh, its true some don't or not great, but that is because they usually have many older sisters. Also, i've never met a Xalimo that doesn't cook and is married. Its rare.

I can just picture xalimo cooking me baris once a week preferably on a Sunday. But, most day im like eating a pack of Tandoori chicken pringles, tuna sandwich, drinking 3 costa breakfast large teas with soyo and a slice of bread for breakfast.

The are chickens. My baby brother has more game than grown ass some somali dudes lol all they do is stare like an eagle and shake hhhh

Hes a FOB, they cant cook to save their lives:mjkkk:

It depends on which part of Somalia FOBS come from saxib. Guys from Xamar and Kismayo who end up in America cook for themselves if they end up living separate from their families. Whenever I visited my uncle's apartment for a chat on weekends, he had food available he cooked. Sometimes he would make Pasta only because he made Suugo ahead and lots of it so he can use it for few days.

How does a single guy who lives on his own expect to survive if he can't cook? The issue is most Somali males are mamma's boys and spoiled. So they want to move from mom to wife. Unfortunately, most girls who grew up in the west are just as handicapped. Total waste who need training to take care of themselves.

My Hooyo has been promising to teach me how to cook since I was 6, but every time I became that age she would move it up a year. Idk why, she just won’t teach me. I’m the only girl, too? :manny:

I’m just going to learn on my own when I get my own apartment next year, my brother does the same since he has his own and has to cook now to sustain himself.

You don’t need mum and her Somali dishes, buy a cookbook with simple dishes and ingredients. Try to cook them while you’re living at home because if you muck it up, you can always fall back on mums cooking. I started that way, but I had three guinea pigs (my younger siblings) who ate anything I cooked because they were sick of mums Somali food.

I’m only home on holidays now since I don’t live at home, and I’m required to have a nasty meal plan. Whenever I do go home though and during summer break I’ll practice a lot!

That’s how I started to learn. I’m the baby, but it was the same with my sister and brothers. We all learned when we moved out. Any cooking we learned from her happened, bc it was sought out when we started having to cook for ourselves outside the house.

She’s awesome at cooking, and does ME, Somali and some Ethio dishes, so there was always something someone missed enough to seek out exactly how to make it from her.
