loool “giving“ women freedom as if we are dameer. do you guys hear yourselves? you think that subjecting women to abuse and mistreatment is working well for desis and arabs because all you see is a surface view of their communities. the women don’t respect the men in their community, they fear them. you seem to care more about how outsiders see you than how your community is truly doing. Some of the things mentioned on that Reddit post is actually part of the issue in our community. We give our somali women too much freedom , to much of a voice to speak how they want. To the extent that Somali women will come online to talk about their 'divorce story' which is usually completely one sided and they are allowed to run with it.
Another interesting point the redditor made was that Somali women are at the forefront of the community. This is another issue we have why are Somali women at the forefront. Where are the men? Why are they taking the role of the men in the Somali community.
I know the redditors intention was to point out the positives of our community, but in reality I see it as a lot of things that wrong with our culture. Which is why we have the level of gender wars we currently have.
We need to adopt a thing or two from the desi/MENA community in regards to how they treat their women. I guess it works pretty well for them.
Their women don't come on YouTube talking about their divorce stories or calling their husband 'biriq. They are pretty more successful then us.
how could you respect someone who beats and insults you? i find it funny how so many men turn to violence to get women to do what they want. you must be incredibly inept to have to regress back to animalistic instincts in order to receive respect. my only solace when it comes to men like you is that Allah will deal with you now or later, and that you will never get away with treating women the way you do. you are low life filth and i hope your comeuppance is soon
