Somali Martial Arts (?)

I've seen Somalis being depicted as a 'warrior race', we have plenty of native weapons, and we have been in wars galore.

But did we have any specific fighting styles or diciplines or anything along these lines?

They would use short spears and hide bucklers.

It's similar to tahtib from AE.

Lagdin (wrestling) and Sabaaxad (take down move during wrestling). I am not sure if this is codified or just recreational, probably the latter. When you have a land full of animals and other tribe fighting with poisoned spears, maybe they was not much of a need for hand to hand combat.

Yeah, I watched a few more videos after the one you linked. Seems like there was a few different rules and it has a deep history. Not much stuff online though. Deserves further research deffo!
