Somalis over here are more religious, well culturally religious and don't think football as something beneficial to somalis even my sister who was in eas very good at drawing my mum refused her to take art as a subject for her gcses. Somali parents don't care about talent if they think these type of career won't take them anywhere. We have a sheep mentality here sadly.

This reminds me of an uncle i have in the UK, apparently he was very talented and had an offer from a good club but his parents didn’t let him join because they didn’t want to drive him to training/matches as football was useless in their eyes and made him stay in the shitty local team instead. sad reality.. maybe it will get better as Gen Z become the parents
