If you go to 3:58

The guy talks about the Somali clan system being like it’s a high school social group.

The poplar kids being the major clans (Isaaq,Dir, Darood and Hawiye).

While the mini clans are the lesser groups or the non popular that has the weak social connections (Yibir clans, Gaboye, Tumal).

There is no such thing as somali jews. This is hasbara lol. yemeni jews that lived in Somalia left decades ago

Are you denying Somali Jews as a minority? Do you have any strong evidence to prove to me they don’t exist as a small minority clan. Listen I know Somalis are 99% Muslim and homogeneous. But it’s always possible to see a small sect of minority that exist in Somalia.

Is there any proof to your evidence that they don’t exist?

The burden of proof is on the one who makes the claim
As for yibir they only are stigmatised with jewish ancestry because the geeljirayaal didnt like them. Because they were historically magicians and geeljirayaal dont like anyone who does anything different so they make up a backstory like they did with madhibaan and the baqti

You are the one claiming they exist therefore you should proof that and bring evidence

That’s the problem with Somalis. They make these weird hearsay’s stories about groups of people. Same stories with the banu hashim crap. Somalis gotta stop making stories up about small groups of people

That's a common logic my brother I advise you to read abt logic

You’ve asked me to provide proof. What proof? They’re known to be a sect minority in Somalia. The purpose of this thread is to bring awareness of their existence as a minority clan and expect people like you exclude them out.

I don’t live in Somalia (I’m a diaspora living in the west) so I don’t know how much they are as a community. So I’m asking u if they’re real or not. Why is there evidence that states they exist? Somalis are only groups that exclude them out because that’s what we do. We got Gaboye and Tunal groups. Who are treated less. And they’re bad stories about them.

No organized Jewish community remains in Italian or British Somaliland.
(Jewish Telegraphic Agency archives: 1949)

Btw the video is based on Nancy Kobrin’s email correspondence with an alleged jewish blogger Rami based in Mogadishu, this later turned into the book The Last Two Jews of Mogadishu.

The bloggers surfacing (2007) during peak instability and an invasion against the ICU warrants scrutiny and critical engagement. It makes for really good propaganda though .. except there are so many inconsistencies, a (yemeni) jewish guy in Mogadishu, apparently him and his mother is believed to be the only jews remaining in Mog

He claims to be 17 in 2007, that would make him 3 years old in 1991 when the civilwar broke out, the schools were shut down.. as a person who is in his late teens and claims to have grown up in wartorn Mogadishu he also writes in perfect english LOL. For someone like “Rami” claiming to be poor, in hiding, and cut off from community it would have been virtually impossible to gain the advanced English fluency shown in his writing through any known school in Mogadishu.

When “Rami” was supposedly blogging in 2007, internet in Mogadishu was not reliable or private 🤔

The author Nancy Kobrin is jewish and affiliated with counterterrorism psychology and has written on Islamist extremism and identity politics 🤔

Nothing about this story aligns with the known realities of war-torn Mogadishu in the mid-2000s. Im so sorry but this is obviously hasbara 🤣 really lazy hasbara

There is very little to no corroborating evidence for any practicing Jewish community or individuals in Mogadishu after the 1960s.

When “Rami” was supposedly blogging in 2007, internet in Mogadishu was not reliable or private, it required rare equipment and infrastructure and it would have been extremely risky for someone who is in hiding

This makes his level of connectivity and English fluency even more suspicious, especially given the security situation at the time.

Except they are not known to be a minority. No one has ever heard of somali jews, what evidence are you using to say they exist besides some hasbara youtube channel

sources to what? What schools were teaching this level of english during that time? If they existed how could he afford it? Rami presents himself as poor and socially marginalized LOL. I know of schools operating in Mogadishu for free during that time but they mostly taught quran, or teaching other subjects in af somali or arabic.

Respectfully but Rami is a fake persona created to push war on terror propaganda ya3ni ‘look how difficult life is as a religious minority in an islamist society, having to practise faith in secrecy’ lol

If they don’t exist why are they talked about? They known to be a small caste member of Somali society. They’re very small sect. So i know they’re going to be people calling them to be a known nonexistent groups. I just need a strong evidence to back up that they as a group exist. A strong link and evidence is what I need.

There’s link and info about them.

Yibir are not jews, not in a ethnic sense or religious. These are clan myths perpetuated by those who hate them btw

I knew you were ajanabi from the start but the fact that you genuinely believe yibir are jews is just extra proof lol
