Some idiots honestly believe alienating more than 50% of the society and making their only use to be married off or raise children won't impact Somalia. That's the most delusional bull crap I've seen. Only 25.8% of women in Somalia are literate meaning the rest are left to raise backwards children. On top of that, they rarely send their children to School effectively turning their sons into free loaders off of money sent from qurbo. The Somali dad in Somalia is a pro in the FKD qaat sessions to the extent his children don't even have a relationship with him. It all gets worse if they become a officer in the government or a representative because they don't even know how to count, read, or write let alone be an ethical uncorrupt human being.

You can't flip the switch but if we had a different approach in how we handled gender roles in Somalia, maybe we'd have more qualified professionals in institutions rather than disqualifying or alienating 50% of the society.
