some oromos, of course muslims [i am muslim too], say they descend from arabs.
i will find the post/reference, it basically says they were arabs in mecca during the pre islam days, who crossed the sea to africa and ended up becoming the oromos. interesting theory, similar to our beautiful shiny forehead having having somali brethren

The Qallu in Hararghe have a similar story to the shekhal or sheikash as we call them. But most Muslim Oromos don’t have that kind of story, we’re to proud of our Oromo origin to claim an Arab lineage.
