It may have happened but most likely it was instigated by private individuals (like her parents) and not the state itself.

Agree @crudetruth Somaliland government will never do/support this as it will harm their image.

I came back from Hargeisa this year and just over half the staff at the airport were women so i doubt they would of turned a blind eye to the abuse happening inside the airport as she claims.
