Somali eedos being unnecessary

This is the most unnecessary thing I've seen. Islam gives many alternatives to do whilst travelling like praying sitting (which is what most Muslims I know do) or combining Salahs together which she could have done earlier in the airport prayer room since Somalis love being 10 hours early for flights, or pray a combined prayer later whilst sitting.

The aeroplane was about to take off and this eedo thinks her single faith is more important than the everything else. Sadly this poor eedo is being used by right-wing ppl who obvs don't like Muslims but this eedo bought it to herself for being so inconsiderate

how do you know that she is not locked in and if she does not pray =, she will have an anxiety attack.

It’s not about Islam, it’s bad culture. She’s inconsiderate of others. Nothing about Islam requires you to hold up a plane at takeoff. In fact, she’s excused from regular prayers as a traveler.

Delaying a plane for 5 minutes in a major airport is a big deal because that plane has to re-join the que for planes for take-off and thus might take it longer for take off than those 5 minutes and therefore, the plane could be financially fined for the delay by the airport authority.

Our beautiful religion teaches us to respect others. She's traveling, she should have combined her prayers, secondly if you're a woman you can't bend down Infront of men. now that I read more of the follow up tweets, the plane was taxing to reach the runway for take off. lol. I feel sorry for them because they thought they couldn’t pray while seated.

this is so stupid,first of all when you are traveling you are not obliged to pray,you can always repay your prayer some other time or pray the 2 rakat for travelers after you land
and since when is islam about causing inconvenience for other people??? what if there was a passenger who was flying to see her sick child in the hospital?

Sxb, maybe the ladies found out that the plane they were flying on was a Boeing 737 Max Lion which hasn’t been only grounded in many countries, but many countries have banned them to fly in their airspaces for serious safety issues since the Ethiopian plane crashed. Maybe, they were praying for their safety and those of their fellow passengers.

That’s exactly right. You’d be amazed what Islam says about not inconveniencing others. It allows you to be lenient. But here you have someone doing the opposite of Islam. It’s downright cultural.
