Interesting map, very comprehensive, just wondering where they got the information.

Imports went up from "$792M in 2009 to $1.88B in 2014" , that massive jump

The top import origins of Somalia are Ethiopia ($675M), India ($335M),China ($204M), Oman ($162M) andMalaysia ($69.3M).
I am sure most of our imports from Ethiopia is khat

Yeah around 80% of Ethiopian import is khat to Somaliland. It's half a billion dollars.

Can we not grow khat in Somalia or K5?

No it's a water intensive plant. A few years ago I read Yemen's capital would start running out of water by 2017 because of khat.

Somalia is ripe for investment. I wish I was 10 years older, people would take me serious with my ideas.
