Nope, I forgot the long surahs and I had to self teach myself short surahs to use for prayer. In all honesty, it's an utter waste of time and money, I'm glad the newer generation of parents abandoned it.

This isnt true, 1/3 of lebanese are sunnis, 1/3 lebanese are shias, and 1/3 Christians, give or take. You can google this. That makes lebanon 2/3, and mostly, muslim

That’s for the population in Lebanon. They’re talking about their diaspora which is majority Christian. Also Lebanon used to be a Christian majority but their numbers decreased due to decades of Christians immigrating to the west

I guess it depends on your masjid. I learned a lot from my dugsi. Plus it was fun and I made a lot of lifelong friends there. Most of my Somali friends came from dugsi

All diaspora communities are screwed. Even yahuds in the West have pretty much all married out and abandoned their religion. The positive is that the majority of Somalis still live in Africa and have an extremely high birth rate so whatever happens to the diaspora is ultimately irrelevant in the grander scheme of things
