Yes it is. Somalis in the west will end up becoming like the Lebanese that moved to the west in the 80's and early 90s. Most of those Lebanese people are not religious at all and that stemmed from their parents being very off and on the deen. If the path the current crop of Somalis in the west continues to be the same zina, drug, jail fest then for sure things like dugsi will be things of the past. I give it 20 years.

By 2060 Somali children will be born into westernised parents who will have far less kids than today fob parents. Assimilation will take place where Somalis will forget their culture and language. Somali population will decrease and there will be more half somalis than full, well at least over here in the UK.
Im also moving back but it gon be in the next 10-12 years in shaa allah

There won't be dugsi, more parents will opt to teaching their own kids quran, or incorporate more technology to their education, AI tools etc

You guys use to brag online about being the most cultured diaspora. If y'all ended up with more half somalis than full imma laugh. Especially if it's within our lifetimes
It's more due to income disparities and general cost being the main cause, rather than culture. Other ethnicities aren't fairing well too tbf. Raising children I expensive, it's a big sacrifice monetarily. Even affluent people are having difficulty

We will definitely become a lot more westernized.
I'm regards to marriage and building legacies in the west I think it will be necessary for some Farahs to marry from back home if they can't find a diasporan xalimo.
If Somalis want to build thriving middle class/upper class communities here in the west you will need a lot more full blooded households. South Asian dudes in the states get into arranged marriages right after college and move to the suburbs to start families with their Indian partners.
Not trying to be on some cringe passport shit but this overall seems necessary if we want to build thriving Somali communities and build generational wealth here in the west.
