Men and Women are NOT created the same way.
So, how bout you sit your @$$ at home without going to do a man's work? How do you feel about that?:hmm:

Some of you are as confusing as it can get. Sometimes, you want to do a ^man's job^. Other times it's too difficult to do a "man's job" or now when you have nothing to say, you're just stating the obvious.:hahaidiot:. We know men and women ain't the same. No shit sherlock! Do you wanna add something more, Mrs femcel?:heh:

Its called rearing a home, god bless our women back home, they know how to juggle family and work life

Yes.

If men emulated the prophet, we wouldn't have all the problems we have.
You have men on here constantly arguing with women and trying to compete with them, forgetting that Allah created Adam first and then Hawa from Adam.

Men are here to lead us, provide for us and protect us!

NOT insult us or make us work in the hot sun during the day like a manual labourer and then work in the house.

Allah sees all injustice and will deal with it. That's it for me in this topic.

Well said! They want to have the benefits of men being the leaders but don’t want to put in any of the work and try to compete with women over petty things. It’s pathetic.

can I not defend the masaakiin from amongst the women who haven’t a voice?
I didn't see anyone complaining. Can you show me about those who don't have a voice? If they're complaining, I can understand that, but I didn't see anyone doing so. Just because they're quite doesn't mean that they're voiceless! I have seen videos about somali women working and some of them were doing it volunteering. I didn't see anyone forcing them to do so.

Or how about you go do something about it if you do care about masaakimo you say?

@Finesse Somali culture respect as far as I can remember. I don't know what you've been seeing! Overburdened Somali women? Really!

I can create a thread and say Somali women don't give their boys enough food and I can show you which gender is more fat. Do I need to? No

Why? Cause it's just plain stupidity.

Honestly, stop the generalization y'all.

Just because a certain part of Somalia or diaspora mistreats Somali women doesn't mean all Somali women are being mistreated! Wtf! Where I am right now, women are praising the men just for being somali and men doing the same. I don't know what made you all come up with these claims.

If this forum was real life, some of them would attack us physically or steal our wombs so that they can carry children.

I am not talking about all women, I am talking about the ones who do not know their islamic rights or are burdened with an unmasculine husband.

Historically? The duties were not equal, absolutely not.

This is why we must practise our religion, to bring balance and harmony.

Women in Saudi have the support of men (buying them Ferrari’s and shit) but are running away due to lack of freedom :farmajoyaab:
Women in the west are running from freedom to Dubai and Saudi for financial support(escorts):mahubowtf: women are the most fickle creatures:noneck: a country as poor as Somalia usually has all the children as child prostitutes elsewhere but we protect our women:faysalwtf: let them get education freedom and do as they please:ileycry:

My aunt recently came back from a visit to Somalia and was shocked at meeting a heavily pregnant woman doing tough labour. According to her, women do the brunt of the work both outside and inside the home whilst the men are more likely to work part time and use their free time to socialise and gossip in cafes like old women. Many Somali men not just at home have lost their masculinity and expect women to be mothers and housewives whilst bringing home a stable income. I love how Somali women are always willing to rebuild their country and are not afraid of getting their hands dirty but they’ve been shamefully exploited, abused and overworked as a result.

Thought you were a 'feminist':win:

Let me see you using the feminism card next time. You're not in my list of femcels at the moment, but I know you'll use it, anyways! I'm just waiting for that moment to expose your hypocrisy! :shaq:

I believe in the feminine power Allah SWT has bestowed me with. That's the most feminist thing a woman can do.

You asked who made me their spokesperson, but first answer who it is you are so vehemently defending right now. Because I guarantee it’s not those women as there is not a soul who likes to be over burdened. Those who do it, only do so because they have no other choice.

I can't speak to the stable income part. I didn't see that when I went back home but money remittance has made people very lazy and ungrateful. The women take care of the home and the men do...nothing. I always wonder what they're going to do when Millenial & generation Z Somalis refuse to send money.

Women back home are only concerned with getting the next meal, they don't look at life the way you and I would.

@SilverL your argument is confusing me. Could you clearly state why Somali culture is too harsh on women?
And also what country she sees as less harsh:farmajoyaab: she was talking about providing while following the religion:noneck:well they do that in Saudi and the women there are complaining too:faysalwtf: and running away to Canada even though their spoiled and everything paid for

I actually find Somali woman with jilbab and ak 47 on her side empowering.
I don’t think she wants empowerment :farmajoyaab: because Somali culture has the most empowered women ( all run businesses) while in the US only like 5 percent of ceos are women :shookgabre: she wants to be a stay at home wife but the funny thing is Somali women actually get that option too:faysalwtf: so what is she complaining about:ayaanswag:

As someone whose been to both Somalia and Djibouti , I have noticed this problem is almost 90% affecting Somalia.

My understanding why is as follows:
Jaad addiction , Somalia’s cultural aversion of hard labor being ‘beneath’ Somali men, and misogyny.

In Djibouti , women would roast a guy if he doesn’t work , but in Somalia I don’t see the same criticism, and women also In somalia keep each other down in a way. For the ladies that want to work construction in Somalia, they can try to wear construction clothes , but other women will put them down along with men. But they should at least try. Also women in Somalia don’t demand anything of their husbands, fathers, sons so that’s an issue.

I can also say somali men in Somalia mentally mostly have given up and have gotten used to being lazy.
