Sounds strange but she looks like Kim Kardashian in a way. Those old school Somali Christians are a result of missionaries converting orphans back in the colonial era. Most have reverted to Islam but some remained Christian and raised their descendants Christians
Thereโs some ex Muslim Somalis in the diaspora who converted to Christianity though which I find crazy as hell though, lmao

I doubt it, before Islam, Somalis or the people ancestral to somalis to be more specific, probably followed waaq and all that stuff, and thereโs stronger cultural remnant from the waaq days, when it comes to place names (caabudwaaq from the top of my head), given names, and oral history. Weโd have some traces of Christianity in that part of Somalia, but we donโt prior to European colonialismWhat I want to know is this, is the Christianity in North-West Somalia, a remnant of ancient Christianity, or something brought by the Christian missionaries that had churches in that region a long time ago.

This community even has/had their own church in Toronto (Weston Road).
You guys don't understand how much of a achievement Ajnabis see this as. Somalis are notoriously hard to convert to Christianity and so if one does convert or is raised Christian then they're treated like a anomaly. Other Africans are expected but to have somali Christian is like a shiny rare Pokรฉmon to these missionaries.
Arap is her issaq subclan and cisse muse was her husband subclanI think some missionaries converted orphans in the recent past. Staunchly Muslim Somali adults would not be as accepting. The colonials tried to mass convert but were largely unsuccessful. Anyway, these Catholics seem the most likely to proselytize. Unlike the Habeshi Christians who were more insular for the most part and less inclined to push the envelope. Add to that the history of wars.
Half Cisse Musa and half Arap.
