I don’t know if any of you who use TikTok on here have noticed but I have been seeing an alarming number of faceless Christian accounts on TikTok who claim somalinimo. They might be Ethiopian but there are times that I see them writing or understanding somali fluently. I know I might just be chronically online but subhanAllah what if this start manifesting in real life. Somali Atheists/Agnostics are becoming a vocal minority, considering I met a ‘spiritual’ somali a couple months back. The last thing we need is a group of somalis, who are sellout and share more in common with Ethiopia and the West. But then again I just might be overthinking.

The majority of people who leave Islam become Atheists or just unbelievers. Christians are the outliers of those bunch, even. Again, these people are extreme outliers. They're just active on the internet because of their passive isolating lives. Don't mistake the noise for representativeness.
The most degenerate Somalis I know are believers. Somalis are not inclined toward leaving Islam relative to other groups. That's why people are more shocked that a Somali professes anything but Islam compared to other people.
I also think a lot of weird shit is going on with social media with bots and larpers, and maybe even intelligence from countries that stoke issues in communities.

I know a barawani girl they tried to troll and say she's Christian by using her face and allegedly the troll behind that account is an oromo. Some of them can speak fluent somali. I have seen atheists somalis and Christian somalis on tik tok. They speak perfect Caaf Somali. Most of the are Djiboutian i can tell. But they are there- and they seem like sad little bullied-marginalized sect
